and a wide variety of materials such as wood, plastic, stainless steel, ceramics, paper, boards, bamboo, and glass, etc.

During the Pre-shipment inspection, the inspector should find various defects by inspecting the packaging, markings, labels, 

illustrations, instruction manuals, accessories, barcodes, and the appearance/appearance of the product. During the inspection of homeware, 

we found some common major and minor defects, including but not limited to stains, scratches, missing accessories, crack, sharp corners, 

missing labels, incorrect barcodes, poor paint, poor printing, and poor assembly, etc.

Homeware & Kitchenware Laboratory Testings

The performance and safety of kitchenware are critical to ensure consumer satisfaction. However, some reliability tests cannot be performed at the inspection site. 

It requires a specific environment and test equipment to ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and regulatory requirements. 

HJ Service Inspectors can randomly take samples in production according to customer requirements and forward them to tested by an accredited laboratory.

The laboratory testing services include extensive performance, chemical, and mechanical testing. Depending on the product, the testing time may take 5 to 10 days.

EN 1860

This European standard specifies safety requirements for barbecues that use solid fuels. It encompasses design, construction, and performance requirements to ensure safe 

operation and minimize hazards.


EN 12983

This standard pertains to appliances for cooking, roasting, and baking with hot air in domestic kitchens. It sets the safety and thermodynamic performance requirements 

to ensure safe use and energy efficiency.


ASTM E34-11

This is a standard guide established by ASTM International for the use of test methods to evaluate the properties of materials used in various consumer products, particularly

 focusing on their stability and performance under different conditions.


ASTM F1786-97

This standard relates to the minimum performance and safety requirements for camping stoves. It includes criteria for testing to ensure safe operation and consumer protection.


84/500/EC

This European Regulation addresses the fire safety of certain household and commercial appliances, setting out requirements aimed at reducing the risk of fire hazards 

associated with these products.


Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011

This regulation concerns the safety of plastic materials intended to come into contact with food. It establishes the conditions under which these materials can be deemed 

safe for consumer use.


LFGB 30&31

The German Food and Feed Code (LFGB) sections 30 and 31 relate to the safety of food contact materials, ensuring that items like kitchenware and utensils do not migrate 

harmful substances into food.


Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004

This regulation addresses materials and articles intended to come into contact with food, setting out general safety requirements and ensuring that they do not transfer their 

constituents to food in quantities that may endanger human health.


California Proposition 65

Also known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, this law requires businesses to provide warnings about significant exposures to chemicals that the state of 

California has determined to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm, affecting various consumer products including kitchenware and home goods.
